Spec redesign — Real business — not a client engagement

Solidarity Painting

An established painting and restoration contractor whose range was both its strength and its problem: a visitor could not work out which of ten services applied to them. Twenty routes, with the service pages generated from one data-driven template so the range reads as depth rather than clutter.

About this build

This is a spec redesign. We built it unprompted to show what we would do for this business, and it is not a client engagement — nobody paid for it and nobody at the company commissioned it. It is published here as a demonstration of our work, not as a claim of a relationship.

The Solidarity Painting redesign: an off-white and charcoal homepage with the tagline “For People Who Require Quality”.

The problem

Decades of work across painting, restoration and waterproofing, presented as an undifferentiated list. A facilities manager with one specific problem had no route to the page about their problem.

What we did

  1. 01

    One template, ten service pages

Each service gets its own page with its own scope, process and imagery, generated from a single data-driven template — so adding an eleventh is a data entry rather than a build.

  2. 02

    Verified reputation, attributed properly

The rating is shown with its source and sample size visible rather than as a generic star count, and the structured data does not assert an aggregate rating we cannot stand behind.

  3. 03

    First-party photography only

Every image is the company’s own. Case-study quotes appear only where they were already published somewhere verifiable.

Three real breakpoints

The same page captured at 1600, 834 and 390 pixels. The mobile layout is not the desktop one scaled down — different type scale, different crop, different order.

Measurement

Baseline phase — measurement is underway. Results get published here once there is enough real data behind them to make the comparison mean something, with the date range and the method attached so you can check the arithmetic yourself.

Free custom website demo

You have already seen
what we can build.

Now see what we would build for you.

We build a custom demo of your new website — using your real business, services and reputation — and you decide whether you want it finished.

  • A custom homepage concept built around your actual business
  • Your services, your area, your reputation — not placeholder text
  • Designed mobile-first, so you see it the way your customers will
  • A walkthrough of what we changed and why
  • No payment to see it, and no obligation afterwards

If the work does not make the case, do not hire us.

No payment is required to request a demo, and there is no obligation to buy. We build demos for a limited number of businesses at a time, so every request is reviewed before we start — if we are not the right fit, we will say so rather than waste your time.
