Spec redesign — Real business — not a client engagement

Sunrise Roofing

An owner-operated roofer with two decades of work behind them and a site that could not accept a lead. Every page carried a form that rendered an error message where the submit button should have been. We rebuilt the presentation around the licence, the real review distribution and their own project photography.

About this build

This is a spec redesign. We built it unprompted to show what we would do for this business, and it is not a client engagement — nobody paid for it and nobody at the company commissioned it. It is published here as a demonstration of our work, not as a claim of a relationship.

The Sunrise Roofing redesign: a dark hero reading “Roofing done right. Right here in Redding.” beside a photograph of a completed re-roof, with licence and review details along the bottom.

The problem

Their site had been running on a template since 2015, and the quote form on every page displayed a configuration error instead of fields. A visitor who wanted to hire them could not do the one thing the site existed for.

What we did

  1. 01

Fix the thing that was actually broken

A real quote form with inline validation, a honeypot and a time trap for spam, and an honest success state. Because the demo has no backend, it says plainly that nothing was transmitted and hands the enquiry off through a prefilled email carrying every field — rather than faking a submission the way a mockup usually would.

  2. 02

    Publish the reviews honestly

4.5 from 22 Google reviews, rendered as the actual distribution rather than rounded up to five stars. Five reviews appear verbatim; none were invented to fill space.

  3. 03

Their own photography, their own credentials

Every image is the company’s own work. The credentials stop at the licence, bond, workers’ compensation and manufacturer certification we could verify — no invented warranties, financing or awards.

Three real breakpoints

The same page captured at 1600, 834 and 390 pixels. The mobile layout is not the desktop one scaled down — different type scale, different crop, different order.

Measurement

Baseline phase — measurement is underway. Results get published here once there is enough real data behind them to make the comparison mean something, with the date range and the method attached so you can check the arithmetic yourself.

Free custom website demo

You have already seen
what we can build.

Now see what we would build for you.

We build a custom demo of your new website — using your real business, services and reputation — and you decide whether you want it finished.

  • A custom homepage concept built around your actual business
  • Your services, your area, your reputation — not placeholder text
  • Designed mobile-first, so you see it the way your customers will
  • A walkthrough of what we changed and why
  • No payment to see it, and no obligation afterwards

If the work does not make the case, do not hire us.

No payment is required to request a demo, and there is no obligation to buy. We build demos for a limited number of businesses at a time, so every request is reviewed before we start — if we are not the right fit, we will say so rather than waste your time.
